Dog of the Week: Teeghan!

Please put your paws together for Teeghan, our Dog of the Week!

Tiggy is a silly girl who is constantly wiggling and dancing, and she does this with a huge smile on her face that lights up the room. Watch out, Ellen DeGeneres - there's a new dancing queen in town!

In addition to showing the world her crazy dance moves, Tiggy has become super playful with her foster mom and is now learning how to play with toys - her absolute favorite being her squeaky lamb.

Once Tiggy is comfortable with the people around her, she's very sweet, cuddly, and loves to show off, doing anything she can to get attention.

Tiggy is a very smart girl and although she has fears (who doesn't?), she is strong enough to overcome them and is getting braver every single day! At agility class she went from acting like a dog pancake by laying flat on the ground, not wanting to set foot on an obstacle, to doing the whole course including the scary teeter totter! This was all on her own terms, as she's never forced to do anything but is willing to do it on her own time.

If you're looking for a furry dancing queen, please email adopting@hopefulhearts.ca and ask for an application for this up and coming superstar!

UPDATE: Tiggy has been adopted!

  1. How could anyone looking for a warm, loving and fun companion turn this cutie down?

I met Tiggy at the swim and was so very impressed by how outgoing she is becoming!

  2. Tiggy was so well behaved at our home earlier in the summer when she and her foster entourage dropped by for a bbq. There were five bi-peds and five dogs. She was a perfect lady with everyone, including the two larger sheps and the two smaller chis (at least one who should take lessons from Tiggy - not yours Brit!). She just keeps getting better and is such a sweetie.

  3. well i'm tiggy's god mother. and i knew that the only place on the planet where she could become the best she could be, was the foster home she ended up in–at hopeful hearts. i know her parents, and her siblings and see them on a regular basis, they are each one a beautiful soul, just messed up my someone who had way too many dogs.
    way to go tiggy!
