Angel.

Last week you may have seen this face being shared around Facebook. Thanks to one person who refused to give up on finding a safe haven, this dog is safe.

Angel is currently in Kuujjuarapik, PQ. With a broken leg, no home, and no food, Angel's time was running out. A resident in Kuujjuarapik took to Facebook and began working tirelessly to help Angel, contacting Wendy Daniels of 106.9 THE BEAR. After some feverish work, things began to fall into place:

Inuit Airlines will be flying a crate to Kuujjuarapik for FREE today, and locals have raised money to fly Angel to Ottawa in the coming week. Angel's foster is none other than Wendy, who fostered and then adopted Surrey from HH, a dutch decoy spaniel who arrived in HH care in May due to a broken leg.

The support has been tremendous, but the hard work isn't over. With four other dogs in HH care that require surgery, we need your help and we can only do this with you. Whether it's the cost of your cappucino, frappucino, or afternoon chocolate bar, every amount helps.

To donate to Angel's care, please visit our Canada Helps and select ANGEL from the drop down menu.

As Hopeful Hearts is a registered charity, a tax receipt will be issued for any amount over $20.00.

Thank you to Mike Seguin for not giving up on Angel, and to Wendy Daniels for always being there to help an animal in need.
